What Travelers Say About Our Morocco Tours

★★★★★ Traveler review

It’s been said that “Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer,” and WOW do I feel rich and extremely blessed after my tour experience with Morocco Travel Experts & Hamid. Each day of the tour was different from the next, yet it all flowed together so seamlessly. As a solo female traveler I don’t normally like doing “tours” but this wasn’t a tour like you typically imagine with a big bus stuffed full of people being rushed from site to site—instead this was a true journey. The kind that stirs something in your soul. This is the very first multi-day tour I’ve ever taken and I did so without trepidation because from the start of the planning process with Morocco Travel Experts I knew I would be well taken care of, safe, and be shown a side of Morocco I wouldn’t have been able to experience on my own. Hamid treated me like family, made sure I was comfortable and enjoying myself at all times, and he was extremely patient. No question or request was too much, and I learned so much about the Moroccan way of life from him. He even taught me some basic phrases in Darija, which was awesome! It’s obvious why so many previous travelers have recommended him: he genuinely loves sharing his passion for his country with others, his charisma and kindness are unmatched, and his knowledge and storytelling abilities were top notch. I’d like to add how incredible each riad and accommodation was—each place a little different from the next yet all felt comfortable and homey. From the Atlas Mountains to the Sahara desert and busy Marrakech, I truly could not have loved my time in Morocco any more and I look forward to coming back again soon and seeing where else Morocco Travel Experts can take me. Shukran, shukran, shukran bezaf!

★★★★★ Traveler review

We had an absolutely incredible 6-day trip to Morocco. Everything was well-organized. The riads and Sahara camp were amazing. It was perfect for us since we wanted to visit many parts of the country in a very limited time. A huge part of what made this trip so special was our driver, Hamid. Not only was he a highly skilled and safe driver, but he was also knowledgeable. He shared fascinating insights about Morocco’s history, culture, and hidden gems along the way. If you are planning a trip to Morocco, I highly recommend this tour.

We travelled premium tour with Morocco Travel Experts in early May 2026, and our experience was outstanding. Hamid, the tour customizer and our guide through the whole trip, was very informative and gave us the best time of our life. We toured through major parts of Morocco including the Sahara Desert. Our stays at most places were luxurious and we loved the hospitality of each hotel. I highly recommend this tour company, Morocco Travel Experts, to anyone planning to explore Morocco. They offer customized tours and that’s the best part. Hamid is a very honest guide, and he was willing to help out when in need.

Family Travel, Made Personal

We design private Morocco family tours for parents, grandparents, and children experiencing the desert for the first time.

Our itineraries leave room for the moments families remember: a camel ride at sunset, tea in a village, stories under Sahara stars, and time to explore at your own pace.

From routes and riads to drivers, guides, and restaurant stops, we handle the details so you can focus on being together. That is the kind of Morocco journey we love creating.

Best Time To Visit Morocco

A practical weather guide for choosing the right season for your private family tour.

Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech with snow across the Atlas Mountains

Season: Cool mornings, sunny afternoons, and fewer crowds. January and February can feel chilly in the mountains and old medinas; March starts to bring warmer days and spring color.

Rainfall: This is one of Morocco's wetter windows, especially in the north, but rain usually comes in short runs rather than all-day storms.

Keep in mind: Pack layers for children, choose riads with heating, and expect cold desert nights. New Year dates often need earlier booking.

Best for families: Good value, quieter sights, and comfortable city touring if your family prefers mild weather over heat.

Chefchaouen across the green Rif Mountains in spring

Season: Spring is usually the easiest time for a private Morocco family tour: warm days, green landscapes, flowers, and comfortable evenings.

Rainfall: Rain is normally light by this point, though mountain weather can still change quickly.

Keep in mind: April can bring desert winds, and Ramadan dates move each year. We adjust meal timing, routes, and family pacing around local conditions.

Availability: This is peak season. Book early if you want specific riads, family suites, or a preferred driver.

Blue fishing boats in the cooler coastal city of Essaouira

Season: Summer is hot, especially Marrakech, Fes, and the Sahara. June is usually easier than July and August.

Rainfall: Rain is uncommon in most classic family routes, but heat becomes the main planning factor.

Keep in mind: Plan early starts, pool breaks, air-conditioned transport, and lighter touring days. Desert time should be morning or evening only.

Best for families: Works best when we add the coast, Atlas Mountains, shaded activities, and riads with pools.

Family camel ride across the Sahara dunes in Morocco

Season: Autumn is another excellent season: warm days, cooler nights, and a calmer rhythm after the strongest summer heat.

Rainfall: Rain is usually limited, though the first seasonal showers can appear later in the fall.

Keep in mind: October is popular. If your family needs connecting rooms, car seats, or specific riads, early planning helps.

Best for families: A strong choice for Sahara nights, medina walks, Atlas stops, and balanced private itineraries.

Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca under a clear winter sky

Season: Winter returns with cool evenings, clear daytime light, and possible snow in the High Atlas.

Rainfall: November can be wetter in northern Morocco. Southern routes are often drier, but nights are cold.

Keep in mind: Mountain hiking can be affected by rain or snow. Christmas and New Year travel needs extra planning and may carry peak pricing.

Best for families: Great for quieter city touring, photography, food, and slower cultural days without summer heat.

Morocco Resources

Helpful travel information for a smoother private family trip.

Comfortable walking shoes worn on the Sahara dunes

Pack for comfort, movement, and changing weather

Bring travel documents, daily medication, comfortable walking shoes, and clothes that can handle city walks, riad dinners, car days, and weather changes.

  • Light layers for spring and autumn.
  • Warm jacket and socks for winter evenings.
  • Sun hat, sunglasses, swimwear, and breathable clothing for warmer months.
A Moroccan family in traditional clothing during a day out

Dress relaxed, respectful, and practical

Morocco is welcoming, and families do well with modest, easy clothing. Choose outfits that cover shoulders or knees when useful, but keep comfort first.

  • Loose shirts, trousers, long skirts, or longer shorts work well.
  • A light scarf is useful for sun, sand, or mosque-adjacent visits.
  • Avoid shoes that cannot handle uneven medina streets.
Market stalls and small vendors in Jemaa el-Fna, Marrakech

Use cards for withdrawals, keep small cash ready

Morocco uses the dirham. ATMs are available in major cities, but smaller shops, taxis, markets, and tips often work best with cash.

  • Tell your bank before travel.
  • Keep small notes for taxis, porters, and casual purchases.
  • Check card receipts before signing, especially in unfamiliar currency.
Fresh ingredients and Moroccan food in a local market

Tell us early so we can plan meals properly

We share dietary needs with drivers, guides, hotels, and riads before you arrive. For serious allergies, bring backup snacks and clear written notes.

  • Vegetarian and many gluten-light meals are possible with planning.
  • Nut traces can be harder to control in traditional kitchens.
  • Parents should carry medication and emergency instructions.
A family road-trip vehicle ready for a private Morocco tour

Your driver is the steady link between each place

A private driver handles road timing, stops, luggage, and local context. Licensed city guides join for deeper visits in places like Fes and Marrakech.

  • Drivers are selected for patience, road knowledge, and family care.
  • We build realistic drive times, not rushed map routes.
  • Tell us if you need car seats or extra luggage space.
Jemaa el-Fna in Marrakech coming alive after sunset

Ramadan changes the rhythm, not the welcome

During Ramadan, some restaurants close during the day and shops may open later. We plan lunches, snacks, and touring around the local pace.

  • Tourists are not expected to fast.
  • Eating discreetly in public is appreciated.
  • Evenings can feel festive and memorable for families.
Travel adapters and charging cables

Bring European-style adapters

Morocco commonly uses European-style two-round-pin plugs and 220-240V electricity. Most modern phone and laptop chargers support this voltage.

  • Bring Type C/E/F compatible adapters.
  • Check hair tools and specialist devices before travel.
  • A small multi-port charger helps families keep devices organized.
