5-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Adventure

Depart from Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), enjoying breathtaking views of Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, famous for its role in films like 'Gladiator' and 'Game of Thrones.' Continue to Ouarzazate, the 'Hollywood of Africa,' where you’ll spend the night.

Travel through the Draa Valley and the volcanic landscapes of the Anti Atlas Mountains, passing Agdez and Tamnougalt. Explore Rissani, known for its bustling traditional market. Arrive at Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, where you'll take a camel trek to a desert camp, witnessing a magical sunset. Enjoy a Berber drum party around a campfire before sleeping in a well-equipped tent.

Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel to meet your driver. Set off on an off-road excursion to visit Hassi Labied and Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music. Discover Mefes, an abandoned mining town, and meet nomadic families living at the edge of the dunes. Spend the night at a local hotel, with time to explore the desert at sunset.
