Stop at the cedar forests of Ifrane National Park to observe Barbary Macaque monkeys. Enjoy lunch in Midelt, famous for its fossil heritage. Continue through the Tizi N'Talghamt pass and the lush Ziz Valley with its palm groves. Arrive in Erfoud, known for its date festival and fossils, before reaching the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga for an overnight stay at a hotel or riad.

From Dunes to Gorges

Wake early to witness a magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or car to Merzouga. Travel to Rissani, a historic caravan route stop, and explore its vibrant souk if visiting on market days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Sundays). Continue to Erfoud, then journey through Jorf, Tinjdad, and Tinghir to reach the lush Todra Valley. Explore the dramatic Todra Gorges, with 300-meter-high cliffs, and spend the night at a hotel or riad in the valley.

Return to Fes

After breakfast, depart Todra Valley and travel through Errachidia and its charming villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt or Zaida, a small Berber village. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests where you may spot wild monkeys. Arrive back in Fes in the evening, with a drop-off at your accommodation, concluding your desert adventure.
