Journey to the Sahara Desert

Begin your adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Fes. Travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains to Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco' for its alpine-style architecture. Stop at the cedar forests of Ifrane National Park to observe Barbary Macaque monkeys. Enjoy lunch in Midelt, famous for its fossil heritage. Continue through the Tizi N'Talghamt pass and the lush Ziz Valley with its palm groves. Arrive in Erfoud, known for its date festival and fossils, before reaching the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga for an overnight stay at a hotel or riad.

Desert Exploration and Camel Trek

After breakfast, embark on an off-road adventure around Erg Chebbi. Visit nomadic families to learn about their desert lifestyle and share mint tea. Explore the M'Fis mines for panoramic views of the dunes. Visit Khamlia Village to experience traditional Gnaoua music and enjoy a Berber pizza lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek across the dunes, guided by locals, to witness a breathtaking sunset. Arrive at a desert camp for dinner, Berber music, and an unforgettable night under the stars.

From Dunes to Gorges

Wake early to witness a magical sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at the camp, return by camel or car to Merzouga. Travel to Rissani, a historic caravan route stop, and explore its vibrant souk if visiting on market days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Sundays). Continue to Erfoud, then journey through Jorf, Tinjdad, and Tinghir to reach the lush Todra Valley. Explore the dramatic Todra Gorges, with 300-meter-high cliffs, and spend the night at a hotel or riad in the valley.

Return to Fes

After breakfast, depart Todra Valley and travel through Errachidia and its charming villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt or Zaida, a small Berber village. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests where you may spot wild monkeys. Arrive back in Fes in the evening, with a drop-off at your accommodation, concluding your desert adventure.
