Arrival in Fes

Arrive at Fes airport, where your driver/guide will transfer you to your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, explore the historic old Medina of Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of this imperial city. Spend the night at a local riad or hotel.

Fes Sightseeing Tour

Join an official local guide for a full-day tour of Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. Visit the Golden Doors of the Royal Palace, the Old Medina (Fes El-Bali), mosques, madrassas, the Tanners’ district, and the artisans’ neighborhood preserving Andalusian techniques. Enjoy the vibrant souks and landmarks like Al-Qarawiyyin University and Bab Boujloud. Overnight stay at a hotel or riad in Fes.

Journey to the Sahara Desert

After breakfast, depart Fes for Merzouga. Stop in Ifrane, known as the 'Switzerland of Morocco,' to see the Berber lion statue. Cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. Continue through Errachidia and the lush Ziz Valley with its palm groves to Erfoud, famous for fossils.
